My Approach to Therapy

"We do not see things as they are. We see things as we are."
-Talmud

I focus on the entirety of a person's experience rather than isolated symptoms or clinical labels.

As a licensed mental health counselor, I have experience working with people affected by the life-altering impact of depression, anxiety, sadness, guilt, fears, indecision, procrastination, and a general feeling of stuckness in life. I also support the healing path of clients struggling with the effects of trauma, life transitions, negative self-perception, and dissatisfaction with relationships.

In addition, I have worked as a corporate attorney at a large law firm and resonate with the challenges and dilemmas of the corporate world. I enjoy working with professionals whose lives may be subsumed by their professional roles and who are looking for balance, meaning, a shift in priorities, or, perhaps, a new direction altogether.

I use an eclectic approach rooted in the existential, relational and psychodynamic schools of therapy, each of which focuses on the entirety of a person’s experience rather than isolated symptoms or clinical labels.

Through therapy, you can:

Together we can find a way to manage your difficulties and welcome more authenticity and joy into your life. You shouldn’t have to do this alone.

Are we a good match?

As a licensed mental health counselor, I welcome Individual clients to explore what stands in the way of a more fulfilling life. I help couples enhance communication, address sexuality, heal after an infidelity, handle conflicts and money arguments, or decide whether to stay together or part ways.

As a former attorney, I also work with professionals looking for balance, meaning, a shift in priorities, or a new direction altogether.

As a certified premarital counselor, I lead couples through a research-based process of preparing for a stronger marriage.

As a financial therapist, a Certified Money Coach (CMC)® and a Certified Couples Money Coach®, I am passionate about healing my clients’ relationship to money and helping them uncover blocks to increased financial success.
